My name is Jan Leen Kloosterman and I’m associate professor of nuclear reactor physics and section leader of
My research aims at making nuclear energy truly sustainable. Focus is on analytical modeling and numerical analyses of innovative Generation-IV reactors, like the Very High Temperature Reactor (VHTR), the Molten Salt-cooled Reactor (MSR) –also called the Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor (LFTR)– and associated fuel cycles including thorium.
On this website you can find information about nuclear energy and the research done at Delft University of Technology. For more information, please contact me.
We regularly have vacancies for good PhD students and postdocs and interesting research projects for master students. Students interested can contact me.
